Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 Reviews – Best Tires For Snow

By David Barlow
Last updated: Jan 3, 2023

Blizzak is one of the most popular types of tires in the automotive tire industry. This brand’s products are beneficial in severe winter monsoon conditions. Our article Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 Reviews below will provide you with a lot of useful information about this product’s outstanding features from the Bridgestone brand.

Bridgestone Blizzak WS80: Overview

Design

Bridgestone produces the Blizzak WS80 in popular sizes for small cars such as compact sedans, minivans, or micro crossovers. Therefore, the tire size will range from 14 inches to 19 inches, which is suitable for most of the small cars available on the world car market.

The question is, if you already own a full-season hood, do you need to spare this WS80 again?
The answer is yes. WS80 is essential if you have to travel on heavy snow. Regular all-season tires can only work well with light layers of snow. Conversely, if the snow is falling too hard, only specialized tires like the WS80 can bring you a sense of safety.

Feature

Blizzak WS80 has always been one of the best-designed tires as it gives you complete control of the space even in the harshest weather and road conditions. Besides, they clearly state that WS80 is a leader in snow and ice control after large-scale field tests.

To do this, the manufacturer used a material called Multi-cell in the form of solid particles. This material is exclusively manufactured from the company’s factory. Thanks to this technology, the roof’s front coating become more hydrophilic, increasing friction and adhesion to the surface of slippery roads, long snow, or ice.

Bridgestone‘s famous symmetrical spikes system has also been incorporated to increase the rock mass’s strength and rigidity. As a result, you can control the wheel with more sensitivity. Besides, the contact area of this foam is 15% larger on average than for similar-sized crates. The reason is the grooves along the longitudinal trucks of the crown are zigzag-shaped and quite deep.

Thanks to improved Silica properties, WS80 is somewhat more flexible on the outside and more rigid at the core. This makes your car more convenient to move in the cold winter. Snow scissors are also greatly enhanced by the features mentioned above and technologies.

Advantage and Disadvantage

This foam has some notable highlights as follows:

The acceleration of this tire is not inferior to any other tire. Its strength is more evident in cases of slippery roads or heavy snow. As explained, to achieve this, the manufacturer has attempted to upgrade its roofing material to be particularly well adapted to extreme weather conditions.

The solid core construction makes this bike extremely responsive to the brakes. The solid core integration is extremely important when driving at high speeds or in adverse weather.

The only downside to this product may be that Bridgestone does not provide you with any form of warranties. It can make you afraid to buy defective or uncensored products.

These tires offer superior control in challenging weather conditions such as snow, ice and slush. However they lack the grip needed to provide a secure feeling when driving on wet or dry surfaces at higher speeds – stability is impaired, making it difficult to maintain control of your vehicle.

Investing in WS-80s for ice racing has been a decision I haven’t regretted. The performance provided by my snow tires is almost incomparable – driving both wet and dry on the road can be done with utmost confidence, while taking things to an even higher level out on icy tracks! Even after several months of use since last December, they still have plenty of tread depth left which guarantees secure winter gripping power.

My winter driving experience has been completely transformed with the introduction of WS80 tires! My car had a tendency to slip and slide in any amount of snow, but these all-weather tires have offered me stability and security. I would highly recommend them – they are one of the best on the market today.

Last year, my wife had a tough time navigating winter roads with all-purpose tires – I was determined to find a better solution this season. Thankfully, after some searching I found the Blizzak tire – which has been perfect for our 2010 Silverado since it is built specifically to handle icy upstate New York conditions!

With snowy winters in Vermont and the Buffalo area, I wanted to make sure my Honda Civic was prepared for all of that icy terrain. So, I invested in some top-notch snow tires which gave me a noticeable advantage on those unplowed roads – allowing me to get through deep drifts without hassle! Not only have they provided added Road grip but also the low position takes care of pushing any excess snow out of way.

They were impressively quiet too; much quieter than my girlfriend’s tire experience when she went highway driving. All things considered, it seems these are just the perfect winter tyres for what this car needs!

With these tires, winter driving transformed from daunting to delightful! I had complete peace of mind on the roads. Even in slippery conditions, rain traction was superb – making for a safe and enjoyable journey despite a more rigid ride.

For many years, I’ve been an enthusiastic supporter of these tires – they’re my favorites! My trust in them has only grown as all three cars (Toyota Honda, Mini and Honda) that have each seen four wheels backed by the same brand.
