What We Like

A touch may evaluate the durability of this tire on it. Its compound is pretty sticky once you’ve rubbed over the first covering. The racing structure’s grip resin and fin carbon combination give the greatest traction required for competitive operating circumstances. 

The use of a strong skeleton with an optimized dimension design can minimize lateral twisting pressures and improves the durability and lifespan of the tire.

To be honest, the tire’s flexibility is simply excellent. Because of its asymmetric construction, this tire may be spun to all outer edges rather than simply front-to-back. However, the product cannot be rotated on the steer if the outside edge becomes deteriorated.

Besides, we found that the overall grip was outstanding. The outer tread loop pattern of the tire makes braking exceedingly smooth and rapid. Because of this tire’s superb durability and grip, we could handle this automobile on the road to the fullest.

Furthermore, in terms of dampening and noise reduction, the tire performs well. 

You may be worried that you will feel the automobile crashing at the limit, and that vibration will be detected when you are driving. However, the Kumho Ecsta V730 is not the case. You can override it, and it will give you a very slight soft push while still allowing you to make any turn.

When going through rough and bumpy roads, we felt little noise. It can create a sense of safety and comfort for the driver. 

What Need Improvement

A minus point for this tire is that it cannot operate at full capacity in cool or wet conditions. Its traction efficiency will decrease in extreme wet or cold surfaces.

Besides, although the tread grooves help level up traction, they also make dirt and debris stick more. Except for water and mud that can come off easily, hard and sticky dirt can fill the grooves, reducing the friction and traction of the tires.

    I autocross/track the v730s for almost a full season (turbo single cam about 300whp) I was very surprised with how well these tires work (coming from r888r’s) sidewalls are a little hard but adjusting tire pressure helps with that. They heat decently quick for autocross and dont grease out real fast with enduro type events. When the thread starts to waer they pretty much become slicks. Havent drove in the full on rain but preformed well on wet track conditions.

    The majority of reviews so far have been very accurate. This is a fantastic addition to the Super 200TW line-up.

    Excellent steering response and accuracy.
    – Strong sidewalls and excellent resistance to rollover and shoulder wear. Stock class can only reach -1.7 degrees and there has been plenty of camber.
    – Looks narrower than the RE71R. Without being pinched, a 255/40/17 is happy on a 17×9.
    – Loves heat. Did not drop off after several 10/10ths of an attack lap in 85F heat.
    – It is not as great for autocross because it requires heat. However, cold grip is acceptable.
    They are water-resistant and can be used in the rain, but not in standing water.
    – Tire wear appears to be reasonable (less than RE71R), and so far, i have done 3 autocrosses as well as one track day with 5 sessions. I am between 6.5-7.0/32nds (started at 8/32nds on the gauge).
    – They seem to be content with lower pressures.
    – Talkative to the limit.
    The overall value is outstanding. Although the A052 is capable of winning both dry and wet autocross events, it will wear its outer shoulders more quickly and will need a wider wheel and camber for maximum performance. The tire is great for non-optimized setups. It will last longer and still be fast in warm, dry conditions. This tire is my favorite for regional autocross competitions, HPDE and time attack competitions. The A052 is the best choice for competition at national level.

    Completed 2 days of 24 Hours Of Lemons in the US up in Thompson’s CT. Track is a 1.7 mile on course with some tight turns and a few long areas to stretch the legs out. The car, bone stock 1989 ford Mustang. First impression was that they look great. They are said to be a “Cheater slick”. On friday we tested with some worn out falkens, and just before the end of testing we sent a driver out to warm up and cure the new V730s for 10-12 hrs before the race. This was my first time trying to apply some tire curing methods (which i think helped for this kind of tire). The next day saturday, a couple drivers went out and ran on the tire, bled off the couple extra psi over 38psi. I skipped one driver change during the hottest portion and my driver expressed some over-steer/skating feeling. Looking at the tires are the end of the day they have a bit of blistering on the center rib on one inside edge. Not all the way around but just a little bit. The PSI was over 41 psi, so i think the blistering was from that. After that driver another hoed in for the day and the tire temp and pressure leveled off at 38. Day time temps were about 86*F with a clear sunny day. Day two of lemons, Rotated the front to rears, my tire growth was about 10psi from 29psi cold to 38-39 hot VS, what i thought might be about 7psi the previous day. The Tires did great all day, the outside temps about 86*F again with some clear and some cloud cover, but hot and humid. The tires performed well, although we added the swaybar in the rear to loosen the mustang up. The loose factor lended itself to some more wheel spin for a loose feel. I think this helped cause the tires to heat up more. My drivers would express a “greasy” feeling. When i got in the car at the last stint after a hot long day, i could feel the tires give way when really hustling and aggressively driving the car. When they felt off, i would scale back a bit to try to let the tires cool. This seemed to help the tires cool a bit so I could go and

    These tires have proven to be very responsive and consistent. I have used them on two track weekends (Road Atlanta and Carolina Motorsports Park). These tires have excellent grip and are very similar to my BFG Rival1.5 S from autocross days. They also feel more responsive than the Rivals. They are very progressive tires and will talk to you when your tire is at its limit. This is a great option for the price. The delamination issues that were discussed on the V720 tire have not been seen on this particular tire. Also, the tire wear has been excellent. It was easy to drive to and from the track. Although they are loud at first, the street noise will decrease after you get used to them. These tires are not recommended for sleeping. I would definitely buy them again.
