Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 review

Everyone wants to get a new tire with the greatest features at a reasonable price. However, finding one isn’t always simple. In this Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 review, we’ll show you the product’s unique qualities as well as our real experience.

About Pro Comp

Pro Comp is the manufacturer of the Xtreme MT2. Since 1992, they have produced high-quality, long-lasting equipment for on- and off-road riders.

Today, thanks to their high-tech design and manufacturing facilities, Pro Comp has enhanced the degree of improvement in their mud-terrain tires range to bring users better products.

Features: Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 Reviews

Measurement

This product line is made for full-size vehicles and SUVs used both on and off the road. However, this tire’s sizing is quite limited, which  is still available in common fitments in sizes ranging from 33×12.50R15 to 37×12.50R20. This Xtreme MT2 also indicates a maximum load of 3750 lbs.

Tread Patterns

One of the off road tire’s key factors is the tread design. With the Xtreme MT2, Pro Comp has produced it with an aggressive computer-optimized tread pattern. This design provides an unrivaled grip on all sorts of roads.

The open tread pattern creates more empty spaces to help your tire stay free of rocks and improve handling. It also has better self-cleaning capabilities in dirt and snow.

The circular siping on the tire’s surface considerably also improves the traction in wet conditions. This feature makes Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 an effective winter tire substitute. The lateral ribs aid in removing debris lodged in the tread siping.

However, due to this tread design, a major issue that most drivers encountered is road noise.

Compound

Along with the upgraded tread pattern is a silica-enhanced rubber compound. This combination offers excellent driving performance in both on- and off-road situations.

However, this feature doesn’t help much with wet weather performance. This model cannot offer exceptional traction on the road when it’s raining or slippery, like basically all mud-terrain tires nowadays.

Durability

Another feature of Xtreme MT2 worth emphasizing is its durability. It features a puncture-resistant composition to ensure that it can withstand harsh circumstances.

Internally, there is a three-ply structure with sophisticated sidewall features. This combo gives your tires an additional layer of protection from cuts and abrasions. It assures that they can tackle even the most difficult terrain.

The company also added a spiral-wound nylon overwrap. It helps Xtreme MT2 to endure heavier weights while carrying bigger loads, adding to the tire’s longevity.

Warranty

Only a few mud-terrain tires come with a mileage guarantee, but Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 has a warranty that works to its advantage. The tire has a 40,000-mile treadwear warranty.

It also provides a 2/32″ tire uniformity guarantee and a six-year materials and craftsmanship warranty. Furthermore, the product is covered by Pro Comp’s Forever Warranty. It includes a replacement for free regardless of age.

Personal Opinion

It’s pretty tough every time you consider a new tire for your car. After trying the Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 for a fair amount of time, we’ve come to a few opinions.

Based on what we have experienced, we believe Xtreme MT2 to be a great mud-terrain tire that provides consistent performance and handling.

An outstanding feature of this product is how it performs in different conditions. Thanks to the compound and tread design, this tire can deliver adequate traction without disturbing the riders’ comfort.

Moreover, we have tried Xtreme MT2 on muddy and rocky surfaces. It surprisingly worked well further than we expected. The open tread pattern helps eliminate all the debris stuck on the tire while driving.

On the other hand, handling wet or ice surfaces is where the Xtreme MT 2 falls short. Because it lacks exceptional traction, its responsiveness is just slightly above average.

Even though it is still very safe, we wouldn’t recommend trying this tire in slippery conditions at a higher speed.

Road noises are unavoidable with most mud-terrain tires, including Xtreme MT2. The noise only increases at greater speeds and annoys drivers a little bit.To sum up our Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 review, we believe this model is well worth your consideration. It comes with all of the greatest features at an affordable price.
