About Goodyear
Goodyear has been the household brand for people who want to get themselves high-quality tires. With 120 years of history in the market, the manufacturer constantly produces tires that excellently meet customers’ expectations. Let’s go through our Goodyear Reliant All-season to gain insights into the features of an outstanding presentative among those products!
Goodyear Reliant All-Season Reviews
Traction
The Reliant provides customers with an amazing grip on both wet and dry roads when it comes to traction. They apply the Aquatred technology to deliver a tenacious grip, especially in wet weather. Specifically, the Aquatred tires have a deep groove in the middle, which acts as a channel to pump out the water where the tires meet the road.
This can prevent water from getting into the space between the wheel and the road surface, minimizing the chances of accidents resulting from loss of traction.
The brand uses the optimized tread design to produce better tires for wet braking. The wheel’s material, the specialized rubber compound, also contributes to maintaining its brilliant wet contraction.
There are no worries about the product’s performance on snowy days as those features above will carry into winter.
Treadwear
With a treadwear rating of 600, the Reliant tires are six times more durable than the standard ones. This manufacturer provides a warranty of 65,000 miles Limited Treadwear, the same length as their Assurance.
Noise
Goodyear Reliant All-season promises customers a quiet and comfortable ride with their product. They feature asymmetric tread patterns on their wheels to suppress noise while improving traction, cornering, and handling capabilities simultaneously.
Pros & Cons
Personal Opinion
Coming to our review, aside from the information the brand offers, you also get to know our user experience of the product in reality.
Traction
It seems like this feature is the competitive edge of the product. Although many “seem to be biased” opinions, Goodyear Reliant tires’ traction still receives a lot of compliments in the three and four rating stars.
When we tried the product for ourselves, it delivered a wonderful performance. We test it in central Texas, where it has been rainy for several days. The wheel gripped the road really well. It was able to make a stop at the same distance as when the road was dry.
As for snowy weather, the performance is no less amazing. The feature on the wheel surface enables us to drive safely on the slippery road without feeling any slippage.
Handling
Firstly, we have to say that the tread design is nice. They do enhance handling capacities as advertised. The wheel was able to absorb the path’s harshness, smoothing the ride significantly. In sharp turns, the sidewall also rolled more flexibly.
Comfort
This is probably the biggest difference between advertisement and reality. The brand assures that customers will get to enjoy a quiet ride with their asymmetrical pattern.
However, the ride we got in return was not quiet at all. There was a constant humming noise when we were driving. The noise got louder when we were on the highway, which could even drown out the music inside the car.
Should You Make A Purchase?
It’s getting nearer to the end of our review, but you still can’t make up your mind yet. Let’s go through some final words to see if this brand’s product is really for you.
In a nutshell, Reliant All-season provides you with a wheel made of good material, Aquatred technology, and nice patterns for a better experience at an affordable price. The only downfall is the noise it produces while running.
If you are a stickler for comfort while driving, you can spare a little bit more money to get all-around tires that make little to no noise.
However, should your budget be limited, and noise is not a big problem, then go for Good year Reliant All-season. They are stylish, safe, and more economical when compared to other models in the market.
