Kelly Edge A/S Reviews

Design

This model has a superior design that can handle and maintain great traction in almost all weather conditions, including snow and rain.

  • Tread: It has a special pattern to eliminate slush and water from the ground. Water is channeled beneath the tire by the circumferential grooves, while the lateral sipes have the same function on the sides.

Besides, the biting block edges enhance the traction on slippery surfaces, even if the vehicle is at a higher speed.

  • Belt: The dual belt is made from steel incorporated with the nylon reinforcement included in the internal construction. It exaggerates the treadlife and supports the stability of the tire.
  • Thanks to the 500 UTQG ratings, the view within or over 50K miles out of the tread is visible.
  • All T, V, or H speed ratings are available.

Tire Sizes

The Kelly Edge A/S diameter ranges from 14 to 17 inches.

According to the mentioned sizes and rating of this product, it is considered to be appropriate for compact or subcompact cars, minivans, and mid-size sedans.

Dry, Wet, and Snow Performance

The strongest point of the Kelly Edge A/S for daily function is the stability on the highway. In dry conditions, the safety is ensured at the common speed on town roads or even harder than that.

The product seems to perform badly on the slippery road on rainy days. Particularly, there is a decrease in the tire’s mojo when it runs on wet ground. The traction is not guaranteed when it comes to the corners.

There is also a limitation when the Kelly Edge A/S works in snowy weather. The grip and traction cannot handle the deep snow, resulting in a long run to stop.

Off-Road Driving

The Kelly Edge A/S is not a wise choice for off-road driving. Its design, especially the tread pattern, is not enough to provide the high traction handling the slippery terrains.

There are rocks with sharp sides existing on the road. So, the tire would be easily damaged while the treadwear accelerates.

Kelly Edge A/S reviews: Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Acceptable traction for dry conditions.
  • Highway stability.
  • Firm braking and handling.
  • Economical.
  • Quiet running in town and highway.
  • Amazing tread wear and treadlife.
Cons
  • Bad wet and snow traction.

Personal Evaluation

The Kelly Edge A/S tire reviews have given comprehensive information about the product, and here is our answer to the question: Should I buy it?.

What Do We Like?

The first and foremost benefit is the friendly price offered for this tire from the Kelly brand.

Besides, Kelly is a well-known brand in selling tires for vehicles. It means the quality and warranty of the product are ensured.

It is reasonable to invest if you are looking for a daily driving tire with stable performance and soft noise on town routes and the highway.

The Kelly Edge A/S has better performance and features than other competitors at the same price.

The Weakness

Generally, there is no significant difference between the looks of Kelly Edge A/S and other competitors.

Another disadvantage to taking into account is the tire’s winter performance. To be honest, the traction is under average level, although it is promoted to be all-season.

If you have better financial potential and expect advanced performance, you can invest in more luxury options.

I bought 4 new Kelly Edge A/S tires seven months ago. They have now covered 3,000 miles. I noticed a bulge on the sidewall of my rear driver’s side tire, so I took it to the dealer. All four tires had worn the same tire on 3/32nd (out of 9/32). This set won’t last me 10,000 miles at this rate. The south has smooth roads that are paved and free of potholes or other road hazards. It is a 4-cylinder vehicle, so there are no hot ridding and burnouts. I think these tires have not only very noisy but also have poor wear.

When I purchased the Jeep, these came installed on my Grand Cherokee (they were new ). At first, I was pretty put off by the off-brand name of the tires but quickly changed my mind. These tires are surprisingly quiet. Now they are not as quiet as Michelin I have had, but they are quiet, probably the 2nd quietest tires I have had. They are very smooth riding, with no vibrations or shaking. They ride well and absorb bumps very adequately. Gas mileage seems to be also good. I did take them off-road (it’s a jeep!). Through my trails in the wet, they did surprisingly well. The Jeep does have QD2, that’s why, they did not slip once, even up steep inclines, and as cheap as it is, you can’t go wrong.

I purchased Kelly Tires for the first time, and glad I did. I bought two for my 2005 Corolla and liked them so much, next day, I took my wife’s 2008 Subaru for new tires as well. She needed 4 (being all-wheel drive, I replace them in 4’s barring any accident that causes one to need replacing soon into the tread-life).

They hug the road and have increased breaking bite noticeably. They have an aggressive tread pattern that grips the road and channels away water while still giving a smooth and comfortable quiet ride, so I have no doubt the All Season design will perform exceptionally when the snows visit us this Winter. And they do all of this at a very reasonable price. I will purchase more tires from Kelly for sure

These tires were brand new when we bought our car. They have lasted less than 20000 miles and were replaced by 3 within a week. These tires last only 20000 miles, not 55000.
