Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus Introduction

There is another version of the summer Scorpion Verde tire called the Scorpion Verde All Season Plus series. Is it as good as advertised? Let’s all the specs, pros & cons of this product via this Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus below

The Overview Of Pirelli

Pirelli is an Italian company that is well-known for high-performance products. The brand boasts itself as the seventh-biggest tire manufacturer worldwide.

Pirelli tires are welcomed and sought by various largest luxury brands in the auto industry such as Lamborghini, BMW, or Audi, etc.

It focuses on making tires for automobiles, SUVs, light trucks, bicycles, and motorcycles. In general, the tire products from the Pirelli family are ideal for sports vehicles.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus Features

Scorpion Verde All Season Plus belongs to the Pirelli green performance crossover and SUV tire category.

As Pirelli uses a silica-enhanced compound with moderate rolling resistance in production, the tire is incredibly beneficial in reducing CO2 emissions and better fuel efficiency.

Moreover, it owns a dissymmetrical tread pattern with four extensive circumferential grooves. The rubber to clearance ratio also includes optimization and a uniform contact patch to improve wet traction, cornering, and handling.

This tire takes advantage of the optimized pitch chain that wipes out interior noise and offers quieter journeys.

The Pirelli also equips it with the tread blocks and shoulder combined with longitudinal siping and high lateral sipes. This combination offers you a constant grip on different conditions like wet, snowy, and slippery roads.

Besides, Scorpion Verde All Season Plus possesses Pirelli Noise Cancelling Technology (PNCS) which includes sound-absorbing equipment inside the circumferential tire wall. Thanks to this feature, your ride will be much quieter and more pleasant, even at high speeds!

Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus: Pros And Cons

Pros
  • Improved performance compared to predecessors
  • Excellent traction and handling in diverse road conditions
  • Comfortable during riding
  • Available in a wide range of sizes
Cons
  • Relatively big-budget

Tire Drive Test

Below is the most truthful and objective review based on our experience:

Driving Experience

Tread

The all-season tire gets pitch sequence optimized and phasings on the tread to reduce the inside noise. Its tread also comes with a silica-enhanced compound to produce an extraordinary performance for all seasons.

Traction

Scorpion Verde All Season Plus offers a stronger grip and traction in several conditions on both wet and snowy surfaces, thanks to a silica-enhanced tread mixture with an asymmetric pattern.

Wet

Four extended circumferential grooves are extremely beneficial in removing water effectively and quickly. Thus, its performance when running on wet roads is significantly improved.

Dry

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus’s performance on dry tarmacs is exceptional, as expected.

Snow

This all-season tire wins a victory over the summer tire category regarding efficiency on snowy or slippery roads.

Noise

Thanks to PNCS technology, Scorpion Verde All Season Plus considerably absorbs humps and noises generated while running over bumpy patches of highways and concrete. You can enjoy a quiet, steady, and smooth ride with this tire.

Treadwear

To ensure flat tread wear with a warranty at 65,000 miles, Pirelli has a uniquely optimized rubber-to-headroom proportion along with a consistent contact patch.

Speed

High-density parallel sipes combine with longitudinal grooves to enhance the driving experience in the winter season and confidence at high speed.

Braking

With exceptional tread design to grip on different surfaces, Scorpion Verde All Season Plus performs well in braking.

Fuel

Scorpion Verde All Season Plus is indeed a green performance tire due to its greater fuel efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.

Handling

We love this all-season tire for its excellent handling and steering response. It will give us the feeling of driving a sports car at high speed.

Comfort

The product is different from most other Pirelli tires because it provides comfort and low noise properties, even in severe weather conditions.

Should I Purchase Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus Tire?

Overall, there is nothing to complain about this tire line from the Pirelli brand, apart from its price. It gives you great driving experiences with outstanding handling and braking, comfortable sense, and optimized tread design that allows excellent performances on all surfaces in all conditions.

Scorpion Verde All Season Plus is undoubtedly one of the most preeminent all-weather tire options, ideal for your compact SUVs or crossovers.

After clocking an impressive 30,000 miles with my last set of tires, I recently decided to upgrade. And man am I glad that I did! This second set is a whole 10K better than the standard OEM – providing enhanced ride comfort and noticeably improved traction on Michigan’s icy winter roads – perfect for tackling anything Mother Nature throws at me!

I was surprised by how well the Pirelli Scorpions performed after reading such great reviews! They were a more suitable choice than my usual Michelin tires and they have definitely lived up to expectations thus far.

I’m pleased with how quiet it is, as well as accurate steering in bad weather; plus no noticeable changes in tire pressure or handling despite being 15k miles on them already. It’ll be interesting to see their longevity over time but so far they look like great value for money.

My CX5 was given an upgrade with the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S Plus tires, and I must say – there is a world of difference! Compared to my Yokohama Geolandar 91A stock tires, these provide a much quieter yet smoother ride. Not only that but FWD didn’t activate Traction Control on left turns uphill during rain – something which couldn’t be achieved after four attempts at running through the same intersection today. It’s clear now why this switch should have happened one year ago – what better way than to enjoy your drive then in absolute comfort?

Today, I was able to explore the full capabilities of my Pirelli Scorpion A/S Plus tires during a test drive. The Traction Control activated briefly and allowed me grip on wet braking with minimal activation while still maintaining total control over the stop. Despite having good tread, these budget-friendly tires provided excellent miles – much better than their stated 280 tread life warranty at 46K! Overall they proved an outstanding option for small SUVs such as Mazda CX-5’s.
