Combined with a solid rib in the tire’s center, the manufacturer has improved its stability and gives it an excellent steering performance when driving in high-speed conditions.
In the wet season, hydroplaning is the most concerning problem, so Falken has enhanced this by designing the double tapered tread pattern to channel water away and increase safety.
On the other hand, the wide shoulder block design increases the tire’s stiffness, adds more traction for a better surface grip, and provides more control over the vehicle.

As car lovers who are passionate about car tires, we have been testing and doing research about the Falken Ziex S/TZ05. Honestly, it is one of the most excellent tires made for SUVs and light trucks.
At first glance, the tread design details look stunning, and it’s like love at first sight. Besides the attractive look, other features of the Ziex S/TZ05 were also awe-inspiring.
The tire shows significant effect in the dry and rainy season, gripping and smooth at any speed range, giving the feeling of total control over the vehicle and road condition.
Seriously! We could hardly hear anything from the outside, thanks to the noise cancelation design. It amazes us how comfortable the experience with Ziex S/TZ05 is, a real pleasure.
But in winter, the icy and slippery road isn’t a friend to the tire’s traction. You may face some difficulties braking or accelerating, and it’s the only downside. So, therefore, be careful and don’t drive too fast.
And one last thing, to make up for the downside, the brand has a fifty thousand miles tread warranty in return. We don’t know what you think about that, but it had us convinced.

For my 2006 Cayenne S, I decided to replace all four tires with Ziex. Despite the shop’s suggestion of Yokohama instead, I found that these had a much lower price and have since provided me exceptional driver performance – saving my life more than once!
Porsche vehicles are renowned for their outstanding performance and handling, yet I have been truly amazed by how well my car has performed on the demanding two-lane mountain road in New Mexico.
Inclement weather conditions can make driving this route difficult at speed, but these tires aren’t phased! They provide superior grip to justify their price tag – a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy spirited driving without breaking the bank.
Although these tires have easy handling in all conditions, including off-roading, they are quite loud. The tire noise levels inside the car reach 90db on the highway – that’s louder than a power mower!
It took 70,000 miles for them to wear out and become cuppy or wobbly; still a decent amount of treadwear considering their affordability when purchased. Ultimately though this is not your ideal choice if you enjoy peace at higher speeds driving with family or listening to music.
After testing a variety of tires, I finally settled on this one – and it has certainly been the perfect choice! Its performance in rainy Vancouver is admirable, far surpassing my Goodyear Factory. A tire that truly stands out from the crowd!
