Falken Wildpeak M/T Reviews & Ratings – A Good Choice of Construction

By David Barlow
Last updated: Jan 3, 2023

In this article, we will show you everything you need to know about this tire.

The Falken Wildpeak M/T Tire was released in 2016. It has a design of the softer tread compound to go better with taller and tapered lugs. The tire is built mostly for the severe off-road driving experience.

In tire production, plenty of tests are required, so is the Falken Wildpeak M/T tire. Tests have proven that whether driving on slippery roads or climbing rocks, the Falken M/T has handled itself pretty well. It can easily navigate mud, grass, dirt, gravel, etc., and simply drive over the rocks without any difficulties.

Additionally, even though the tire has an aggressive tread design, there is a pattern that reduces road noises to the minimum compared to other traditional mud-terrain tires. Moreover, with its Duraspec 3-ply sidewall feature, Falken has given the tire the ability to protect you against sidewall impairment. The majority of drivers spend a lot of time driving on the streets, so Falken has raised the level of comfort for the long rides compared to other M/T standards.

This tire gave an admirable result on wet and snow traction. It can prevent slipperiness, which helps you not to create any yawing situation. It is made out of durable rubber and can load up to over 3500 pounds, and you do not have to worry about the weight capacity of the car.

The Falken tires initially offer 15 to 20 inches wheel diameters. It also comes with a very economical price compared to all of the features and stabilities that it has.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Outstanding off-road performance
  • Reduce loud road noises
  • Affordable
  • 3-ply sidewall construction
Cons
  • No mileage warranty
  • Limit in sizes
  • Treadlife is decreased

Falken Wildpeak M/T Test Drive

After waiting for a long time, the birth of the Falken Wildpeak M/T Tire did not disappoint the riders for the most part. The tires are easier to balance than other models, and the way they design the tread supports the strength of the tire, thus preventing tearing when driving through pointy rocks, trees, or other rough road surfaces.

The one thing that surprises us the most is noise reduction. No more earplugs needed while driving on the highway at high speed. Such a nice feature!

However, the only area that we personally feel a little disappointed in is the tread life. The Falken made a softer compound that provides a more comfortable long ride experience, but it resulted in lower tread life in exchange. Although there is a small fault, we would say this feature is very helpful for anyone who loves to travel like us.

Falken has done such a great job with their tires and brings much satisfaction to multiple people. Overall, even the tires are not at the top class like the Cooper MTP, BFG KM2, and a few others; these still rank in the superior half of the M/T group.

Conclusion

After this review, we think you must already have the right choice. The Falken Wildpeak M/T tire has a lot of good features and really stands out from others with an affordable price. We highly recommend it to anyone who owns sporty cars, big cars, or even small compacts. This tire has high quality and surely will not make you regret it!

These tires have been a great match for my 2016 Silverado 1500, allowing me to navigate through any weather that Colorado throws at us. They’ve held up incredibly well even after driving them an impressive 50-60k miles – the tread still has plenty of life left in it and they are wonderfully quiet when rotated regularly. Highly recommended!

These tires were designed to give Jeep Rubicon 4dr drivers the same ride they get from 35″s, but with a bit less road noise – even though their design is more aggressive. Unfortunately, trying to balance them using ballast beads did not yield results and weights had to be employed instead.

So far these have yet been tested in snow or winter conditions so it remains uncertain how well they perform in such extreme climates!

The deep snow and icy routes were no match for these packed snowy roads. Not only did the tire treads hold up better than many of their high-end competitors, but they also delivered superior traction without a hint of wear after 4K miles! Hauling our 31ft 5th wheel was evidently comfortable too – we had nothing to worry about other than simply enjoying the journey.

I was a bit cautious when I purchased MT tires for my 2015 Ram 1500, given Maine’s wintery conditions. Fortunately they proved to be an excellent choice with minimal tread wear after 10k miles – in both wet and icy roadways!

These tires are incredibly reliable, performing as equal to all-terrain models yet without the excessive noise. All things considered, these have been fantastic truck tyres; however there is one minor detail that could make them even better: moving up from 33×12.5s to 35×12.5s would really add something special!

With their versatile performance in all weather conditions, these tires made me ecstatic! Not only was the delivery an absolute breeze but they have exceeded my expectations – I’m certain that when it’s time to get a new set of tires, I’ll be returning right away.
